Fatima
The apparition in 1917 has led to Fatima, in Portugal, being a major place of pilgrimage for thousands every year. The Basilica and the Stations of the Cross form the centre of pilgrimage, but there is also Aljustrel, where the children who saw the vision were born, and the Calvary Chapel.
There is also much to see in the spectacular National Park of Serra de Aire and the medieval castle of Ourem.
