The Holy Land
The experience of a pilgrimage to the Holy Land is second to none. To walk in the footsteps of Christ and see so many places associated with his life is such a thrill. We can see the many sites which remind us of stories from the Bible: Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Jericho, Judea, Ein Karem, Mount of Olives, Calvary.
There is so much to see that it is impossible to include all the sites on one tour. We concentrate on the best to suit your requirements, to form a thrilling tour that provides a unique journey of a lifetime.
The two itineraries shown below, for a tour of 7 days and a tour of 11 days, are merely samples. Your tour will be entirely tailor-made to your own specifications.
Sample 7 Day Itinerary
Day 1 Fly from the UK to Tel Aviv where we will be met by our guide and then transferred by coach to our hotel in Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 2 After breakfast enter the Old City of Jerusalem and visit the Western Wall, Temple Mount and the Garden Tomb. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 3 After breakfast walk down the Mount of Olives and the Church of the Holy Ascension, continue our walk down the Palm Sunday Road to the peaceful Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations.
Day 4 After breakfast visit Ein Karem and Yad Vashem before heading to Tiberias. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
Day 5 After breakfast you take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum, proceed to Tabgha the site of the miracle of the loaves and fishes continuing to the Mount of Beatitudes.
Day 6 After breakfast travel to Mount Tabor, the Mount of Transfiguration, continue to visit Sepphoris and Cana of Galilee. You end the day with a visit to the Baptismal site on the River Jordan. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
Day 7 Depart Tiberias and travel to Tel Aviv Airport for our return flight to the UK.
Sample 11 Day Itinerary
Day 1 Fly from the UK to Tel Aviv and transfer to our hotel in Jerusalem.
Day 2 Walk down the Mount of Olives, stopping at the Church of Dominus Flevit, to the Church of All Nations and the Garden of Gethsemane. Visit Mount Zion: the Church of St Peter in Gallicantu, the Dormition Abbey and the Upper Room.
Day 3 Travel to Bethlehem: Manger Square, the Church of the Nativity with the Caves of St Jerome. We stop at Ein Karem (home of St John the Baptist) and visit Yad Vashem.
Day 4 Enter the Old City: Western Wall and the Temple Mount, Pool of Bethesda, Ecce Homo and Zion Convents, the Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
Day 5 Travel to Masada, Herod's desert fortress, float in the Dead Sea, visit Qumran and the ancient biblical city of Jericho.
Day 6 A free day in Jerusalem to relax and explore some more, or do some shopping in the Old City.
Day 7 Visit the Tomb of Lazarus in Bethany and enjoy a devotional walk following the route Jesus took on Palm Sunday to Bethphage. Mount of Olives for a final view over the city.
Day 8 Drive north to Nablus (Shechem) where we call at Jacob's Well. We continue past Mount Gerazim to the ruins of Sebaste (Samaria). Visit the excavations of Beth Shean.
Day 9 Travel to Mount Tabor to visit the Church of the Transfiguration, and the Jezreel Valley. We continue to Nazareth, Jesus's hometown, to visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, and Cana.
Day 10 A boat trip across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum. Visit Mensa Christi where Jesus appeared to his disciples after his resurrection and the Church of the Loaves and Fishes at Tabgha. Continue to the Mount of the Beatitudes, Bethsaida and Kursi.
Day 11 Leave Tiberias for Tel Aviv and our return flight to the UK.
