Iona
Just off the coast of the Isle of Mull you will find Iona which is home to an ecumenical community of men and women seeking new ways of living the Gospel. Here, in this peaceful place you can visit the restored Abbey Church, and also the more recently restored Benedictine Abbey where the community live and work.
Getting to the island entails a coach journey to Oban, the coach crossing on the ferry to Craignure on Mull. Iona is then reached by a foot ferry. There are only two hotels on Iona but many stay in picturesque Oban.
